Captain H. C. Gorrell.

            This community was thrown into deep melancholy caused by the report of the death of Capt. Henry C. Gorrell of this place, who was killed in a skirmish near Richmond on Saturday the 21^st ult., by a ball through the head.  His body fell into the hands of the enemy, and has not been recovered.
